National Theatre Institute
Teaching Artist & Program Representative
Carrigan O’Brian is an actor and educator based in Brooklyn, NY. O’Brian graduated from Sarah Lawrence College where she spent a semester at the National Theater Institute. Her favorite artistic projects include playing Helen Keller (Hedgerow Theater), for which she received a Barrymore nomination for Outstanding Leading Actress in a Play and directing an all-female version of Taming of the Shrew. O’Brian’s passion for theater outreach led her to working for Adam Driver’s nonprofit, Arts in the Armed Forces this past fall, which brings theater to military audiences around the world. O’Brian also volunteers at the 52nd Street Project in Manhattan where she gets to help kids put up their own original plays!
