Teaching directing to a classroom with over twenty-five students poses a variety of challenges to the instructor including project management, time management, and active-engagement for all enrollees. Learn how to transform such classes into a truly student-centered enterprise and experience. This presentation highlights an effective and easy-to-replicate learning system that ensures each student directs, acts and critiques numerous times within a 15-week semester.

Troy Lescher

Troy Lescher is an Assistant Professor in the Theatre, Film & Dance Department at Humboldt State University (California State University). He regularly teaches acting, directing, and theatre history. His research interests include pedagogy and clowning.
