Carrigan is an actor, theatermaker & educator based in Brooklyn, NY. She received her BA in acting and psychology from Sarah Lawrence College, trained at the National Theater Institute, studied physical theater at the Accademia Dell’Arte in Tuscany, and did a cultural immersion program for one year in Zaragoza, Spain. In addition to performing, Carrigan is also dedicated to bringing theater to non-theater audiences and has worked with organizations such as Adam Driver’s Arts in the Armed Forces, The 52nd Street Project in Hell’s Kitchen and Artists Striving to End Poverty. Carrigan’s favorite artistic projects include playing Anne Frank in The Diary of Anne Frank, assistant directing Brecht’s The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui and devising Dubliners by James Joyce. She was the youngest nominee in history at the Philadelphia Barrymore Awards for her role as Helen Keller in The Miracle Worker.
